What are you collecting tight now? What is trending? I did a little research – not too many articles out yet but I am already getting a feel based on what has been selling and favorited in my shop. I am in Milwaukee so there will be differences wherever we live. My problem is I find something cool and I want to start a collection. Not cool. My latest buys? A Staffordshire cottage from the 1870s and single 50s/ 60s bar glasses. And that is just this week!
The funny thing about vintage and antique trends is they always comeback around.
A couple things I like a lot and have enjoyed an ongoing interest in:
- Art Deco – I have collected, bought and sold Art Deco off and on since I was very young. I think it will continue to stay strong. We love the architecture, glitz, and glam. There are other styles that dovetail with Art Deco such as elements of Frank Lloyd Wright and the Industrial silver and black among others.
Retro Influences from the 70a and 80s – statement pieces, colors, inspired fabrics. I see no slowing down in the love for swing vases
